GMX Temporary Email: A Cheap Mailbox for Verification Codes
People ask for Gmail first because they know the name. After a few orders they usually notice something else: the cheap domains work for a lot of sign-ups, and the price difference adds up fast. GMX is the one most people start with.
Why GMX is cheap
Price follows supply. GMX mailboxes are plentiful, so the cost per address is low. In the Telegram price list at the time of writing, gmx.com was about PKR 1.54, the same as email.com and mail.com, against about PKR 10.29 for Gmail. If you buy ten addresses a day, the gap is the difference between pocket change and a real expense. Prices change with stock and with the site you register on, so treat any figure in this guide as an example and read the live amount on the order page before you buy.
What it is a good fit for
- Newsletter and download sign-ups.
- Free trials that email a link.
- Testing your own registration form during development.
- Any site that does not block less common domains.
Where it may fail
Some websites keep lists of domains they distrust and refuse them at the form. If GMX is rejected on your first try, do not keep retrying. Cancel the order so the balance returns, then try a different domain such as outlook.com or, if you really need it, Gmail. A rejected address is information about that website, not about your account.
How to buy it
- Open Buy Email and select Server 2.
- Type the website you are signing up on, for example instagram.com.
- Pick gmx.com from the domain list.
- Buy the address and use it on the website at once.
- Read the code from the order card.
A small habit that saves money
Make a note of which domain worked for which website. After a week you will have a short list, and you will stop paying the Gmail price for sites that accept the cheap ones.
A quick cost comparison
Suppose you test sign-up forms and need thirty addresses in a week. At the cheapest group's price of about PKR 1.54 that is under PKR 50. At the Gmail price of about PKR 10.29 it is over PKR 300 for the same thirty. If you only need the website to send a message, the cheap domain does the identical job. The savings are large enough that it is worth starting every test from the bottom of the price list.
Mixing domains on purpose
If you are testing your own form, do not use a single domain for every test. Use gmx.com for some, mail.com for others and one premium domain for the strict case. Your validation then meets a realistic spread of addresses, and you learn which domain patterns your own form accepts or rejects.
