Reorder a Fresh Code on the Same Temporary Email Address
Sometimes one code is not enough. You log in again, the website asks for a new code and the first one is long gone. On Server 2 you do not need a new address for that. You can ask for a fresh code on the one you already have.
How it works
After the first code has arrived on a Server 2 order, a reorder option becomes available. It keeps the same address, starts a new waiting period and gives you a new order id. You poll that new id for the code. The earlier order stays in your history as it was.
Rules to know
- Only on Server 2. Server 1 does not offer it.
- Only after the first code was received.
- It is billed like a new purchase, so you pay again.
- The new order has its own id. Use that id to read the new code.

- A website that asks for a second code a few minutes after sign-up.
- Testing a login flow that needs two verification emails.
- Keeping the same address across a short process.
When it is not
- You may need the account in the long term. The address is a receiving address that is released later.
- A new address would cost less on a cheap domain.
Compare the reorder price with the price of a fresh address on a cheap domain before you decide.
A realistic use
A website sends a code at sign-up and asks again for a code when you add a payment method ten minutes later. The first code has expired. Instead of buying a new address that the website does not know, you reorder on the same one, receive a fresh code and finish. You pay the price of a new purchase, but you keep the same address for the whole process.
What to watch for
- Poll the new order id, not the old one.
- Do not request a code from the website until the reorder is waiting.
- Check that the amount is acceptable before you reorder, especially on a premium domain.
Questions people ask
Does the reorder cancel the old order?
The old order stays in your history. The reorder is a separate new order.
Can I reorder on any domain?
It follows the Server 2 rules for that order.
